Our Peer Mentoring Reading Buddies Program!
Dear Grade 2 Families,
We are very excited to share with you our classroom news!
We have launched our Reading Buddies program with Mr. Kanellos' Grade 4 class. It is a wonderful and rewarding learning opportunity for both the younger and older students. The benefits from Reading with a buddy are that it helps build self-esteem in students and promotes the further development of their reading skills and fluency skills.

Being Prepared for the Winter Weather
Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather (i.e., rain boots/boots, coat, hat, scarf, mittens etc.). Please ensure that your child brings to school an extra pair of socks and pants to change in case he/she gets wet from the inclement weather. It is always a good idea to layer clothing (i.e., hoodie or sweater) and you can easily take off layered clothing if you get warm in class or add your hoodie or sweater if you get cold in class or at recess time.
Gym
ym is scheduled on Day 4 and 5.
Please ensure that your child is dressed in appropriate gym attire
(i.e., shorts, t-shirt, track pants, running shoes, hair tied back, no jewelry).
Footwear
Please ensure that your child keeps a pair of in-door shoes at school and wears appropriate outdoor footwear for inclement weather.
